7 Things to Avoid Saying to a Bride or Groom

Ever so often, there are times when things are said to people who are engaged or planning a wedding that can be best described as inappropriate.

Of course, having an appropriate comeback is probably one thing that most people who are about to be engaged or married should keep in mind.

So, with that said, here are 7 things that you must avoid saying to a bride or groom, or risk the comebacks that you will deserve for you doing so:

#1: So, you’re not wearing white?

Yes, why should I deceive the wedding guests into thinking that I’m a virgin.

#2: I don’t like weddings.

Great! One more person that I can strike off from the guest list then.

#3: I can’t believe you’re marrying him or her.

And I can’t believe that you’re acting like a jerk but that’s true, isn’t it?

#4: This happened way too fast. Are you sure you’re doing the right thing?

I was pretty sure of it until you spoke since I’m so wishy-washy and spineless. I’m glad you did!

#5: Maybe this one might last.

Yeah, this one might. And just maybe I won’t hit you in the face.

#6: Who’s paying for the wedding? It must cost an arm/ leg.

Speaking of wedding costs, it’s really none of your business, now is it?

#7: You know that 50% of marriages end in divorce, don’t you?

Quite frankly, it’s around 24% for couple over the age of 25. But what would I do without a few pessimistic statistics when I’m getting married.
